Exeter co-working office specialists The Generator have recently extended their Exeter creative spaces with new Exeter river-side commercial property premises within Kings Wharf.
Sophie Hancox of Aquamarine Media explains why the agency looked to move into Exeter and what was so appealing about this creative shared office environment.
“We first became aware of the Generator Hub after a meeting with a client who was already renting a desk here. Straight away, we picked up on the atmosphere – there was a real ‘creative buzz’ in the air that we hadn’t found in any other office we had visited. We also thought the space itself was something quite unique to Exeter and perfect for an agency like Aquamarine Media!
“Moving to the Generator has allowed us to take the ‘next step’ as an agency and has created many opportunities for us. Since we moved here February we’ve made some fantastic new contacts and it’s certainly boosted our brand profile. Even though there are several similar businesses in the same space, there’s no sense of competition, instead everyone is very supportive of each other.”
Exeter commercial property specialists Turner Locker Barnfield have had a long-term relationship with Kings Wharf as Mark Turner describes;
“As commercial property management specialists we have looked after Kings Wharf for great many years, running the buildings service charge and day to day running and maintenance. We acted letting the space for the original developer before acting for Quintain PLC in acquiring the investment in the mid 90’s. We later sold the property for them to investors from Cheltenham whilst retained the management. Some years later we sold the building again to a Wealth management fund who in their turn retained us to manage and let any vacant office or retail space. When then fund was being closed we acted for the current owner.”
Aquamarine’s recent launch demonstrates the modern appeal of this creative space.
